Several cities that had face mask mandates, including Yankton and Sioux Falls have rolled them back as Covid-19 infection numbers drop.
The City of Vermillion has also had a mandate in place for several months, with a review at each city council meeting.
City Manager John Prescott says the resolution has two parts, dealing with face masks and signs….

Prescott says their resolution has always been about encouraging the use of facemasks..

Prescott says they haven’t had much public pushback on the resolution…

The resolution did have a fine attached to it, but Prescott says they haven’t had to enforce it.
