Hand County Wind Project Developers Called Out by SD Public Utilities Commission

Developers of a wind power project in Hand County were called before the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission.

Commissioner Chris Nelson questioned Matt Heck, Director of Development for Scout Clean Energy, about why they started construction without an energy facility permit from the Commission………..

Heck, whose company is based in Colorado, said they were not familiar with South Dakota law……

Nelson says he wants more time to consider their options…..

The Commission took no action on the project, and will reconsider it at a later meeting.
