A thunderstorm that swept through Yankton County Tuesday night dropped hail that damaged corn and soybeans in the area. Dave Charles is the Executive Director of the Yankton County Farm Service Agency.

He says growers should notify their crop insurance agents as soon as possible and get their claims started.

Charles says he heard reports of some hail hitting east of Yankton as well that damaged crops there.

Charles says his office will file a flash report on the storm with their state office.
