The man at the center of the EB-5, investment for visa program scandal, reached a deal with prosecutors.
Joop Bollen of Aberdeen changed his plea in Brown County Court Wednesday.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says Bollen pleaded to a serious charge, and was found guilty on one charge….

Bollen will pay a fine, and receive a suspended sentence. Jackley says that is in line with the charges…..

Bollen was accused of stealing more than one million dollars from a state economic development account. Jackley says that money has been returned…..

Jackley says federal agencies are still looking into the case, and civil charges are also possible.
