Sophomore Madison Guebert scored a career-high 32 points to lead the South Dakota State women’s basketball team to a 72-63 win at Denver Wednesday night in Magness Arena.
Guebert’s 32 points were the 16th-most points in school history. She was 11 of 12 from the field, 4 of 5 from 3-point range and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line. Guebert also had a personal-best five assists.
Junior Ellie Thompson recorded her second 20-plus point game of the season with 22 points. She added eight rebounds and a pair of blocks. Senior Kerri Young had eight points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Jackrabbits (15-4, 6-1).
Denver, 4-15, 1-5, was led by Lauren Loven’s 20 points.
