Growth Energy Working On Response To Negative Biofuel Court Rulings

Growth Energy Working On Response To Negative Biofuel Court Rulings

Growth Energy officials while disappointed with recent court decisions going against biofuels are considering their next options. Growth Energy Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Bliley says the court decision disallowing E-15 year round use was particularly disappointing because it will hurt the environment as well as consumers. He says they’re looking at several possible responses and have some time to respond because the court ruling doesn’t go into effect until 2022.

He says drivers will feel the effects of the E-15 court decision.

Bliley says the benefits of E-15 have been widely noted and curtailing that use will result in job losses as well as negative impacts on the environment.

Bliley says his group will also be weighing in with the Biden administration on the E-15 issue as it fits their goals of battling climate change and helping improve the environment.
