Growth Energy members held a virtual fly in this week and following that called on President Joe Biden to stand behind his promise to take clear action on climate change by backing low carbon biofuels. Growth Energy’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Bliley says strong RFS volumes are needed to achieve the administration’s climate goals.

He says biofuels are among several tools that will be needed in order to reach the President’s goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

Bliley says the administration must support 15 billion gallons of biofuels under the RFS or their goal to address climate change will be shattered.

Bliley says without support for biofuels, and the RFS and strong RVOs the U.S. will remain tied to using more fossil fuel which hurts the environment.
