Growth Energy released a new report this week that looks at the potential climate benefits of a nationwide transition from 10 percent ethanol to a 15-percent ethanol blend. Growth Energy’s Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Bliley says they commissioned Air Improvement Research to do the study which showed a significant decline in greenhouse gas emissions from going to E-15.
He says E-15 can deliver those environmental benefits given the fact that 95 percent of the vehicles on the road today are approved for using E-15.
Bliley says Growth Energy hopes to get the results of this report out to all policy makers so they can see the benefits of higher blends of renewable fuels.
Bliley says E-15 can play a large role in battling climate change impacts.
