Growth Energy Reaches RFS Settlement with EPA

Growth Energy and EPA have reached a settlement agreement on a number of pending Renewable Fuel Standard lawsuits.  Chris Bliley is Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs.  He says the agreement is a victory for the industry.

He says the settlement, which was posted to the Federal Register February 23, will be subject to a 30-day comment period.

Bliley says they are also hopeful the EPA agreement to submit to judicial oversight of a binding RVO deadline gives credence to the agency’s commitment to get the RFS back on track.

The settlement comes as the biofuels industry waits for EPA to finalize a broad set of RFS actions announced in December.
