Growth Energy is asking the Environmental Protection Agency’s Science Advisory Board to examine the benefits of biofuels as well as the impacts of gasoline on air quality. Growth Energy’s Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Bliley says they’ve submitted comments to the committee as well as a pair of studies that show how biofuels enhance air quality.

He says higher biofuel blends have an even better effect on the environment.

Bliley says it’s critical the advisory committee take a deep look at how gasoline negatively impacts air quality and how that relates to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Bliley adds that ethanol serves as the single most affordable and abundant alternative to toxic fuel additives. He says while the Science Advisory Committee doesn’t make policy decisions, it does provide information that can influence those decisions
