Bayer is predicting the Environmental Protection Agency will decide soon on whether or not Dicamba will be re-registered for grower use. Minnesota Soybean Grower’s Association Board member Bob Worth who chairs the State’s Dicamba task force says their State Agriculture Department is waiting for the EPA decision before proceeding.
He says growers need to know soon whether or not they’ll be able to use Dicamba to control weeds as they’re making their plans for the next growing season.
Worth says once the EPA makes their decision the Minnesota Dicamba task force will be meeting with the State Agriculture Department to discuss the ruling and how to proceed.
Worth says most of the complaints came against those not well educated in using Dicamba or who didn’t follow the label when making application.
