The American Petroleum Institute, Environmental Working Group and Action Aid USA are calling for repeal of corn ethanol mandates under the Renewable Fuel Standard. Renewable Fuel Association Senior Vice President Geoff Cooper says the groups are using the same approach against the RFS they used seven years ago with the food versus fuel argument.

Cooper says none of the effects the anti-ethanol groups have charged have happened has occurred.

API, EWG and Action Aid USA claim the Renewable Fuel Standard has not only failed consumers and the environment but also the advanced biofuel industry it was supposed to help.
