Group Of Ag Leaders Endorse Joe Biden For President

A group of agricultural leaders including former U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, former Chief Ag Negotiator Darcy Vetter and former National Farmers Union President Roger Johnson are offering their support for Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign in an open letter. Johnson says he thinks Biden is the best choice for agriculture’s interests because he brings stability to public policy.

He says trade and biofuel policies under the current administration haven’t worked.

Johnson says Biden’s tax proposal is more friendly to those with less income and take away tax cuts from the wealthiest individuals.

In their letter, the three stated that America needs strong leaders who will tackle challenges and shape policies that encourage agriculture to flourish
