Groundwork has started a $2 million building addition at the Farm Credit Services of America office in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Farm Credit Services of America Vice President Terry Fjeldheim says this expansion will allow them to better serve their farm and ranch customers.
He says they hope to have the new facility complete by the summer of 2018.
Fjeldheim says they’ve seen increased demand for their financial and crop insurance services with the depressed farm economy and they’re helping producers manage through this down turn.
He says they remain optimistic about export opportunities to help agriculture work through this economic cycle. With the growing demand for U.S. protein in China that will help utilize the surplus grain and in time improve producers bottom line.
