Time is running out on the U-S Senate to pass an inclusive omnibus spending bill.  Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa informed agriculture news media the bill will be passed prior to Thursday’s adjournment.  However, Grassley says the bill will not include his cattle marketing transparency bill co-authored with Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer.  Grassley says he is disappointed that New York Senator and Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer never brought the bill up for a full senate vote.  Grassley informed the agriculture media that his is confident the next session of Congress will pass his legislation dealing with cattle marketing.
