Congress is on their summer recess and U-S Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa says he has had farmers talk to him about the loss of agriculture trade. Grassley says farmers have asked if the U-S, under the Biden Administration, will ever enter any trade agreements. Grassley believes China may purchase additional U-S food, but he doubts they will honor their early trade obligations. Grassley says the Senate Finance Committee has scheduled a hearing for September 7th to begin the confirmation process of the nominee for Ambassador of Agriculture Trade with the U-S Trade Representative office. He says that may help the trade issue problem. However, Grassley says another important trade official position has not been acted upon.
