Grassley Pleased President Signs COVID Aid Bill

President Trump backtracked on Sunday and signed a $2.3 billion package that combines COVID-19 relief with government funding. That’s good news for farmers as Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says the COVID relief bill contains important provisions for agriculture.

Grassley says the pandemic relief will also help livestock producers left out of previous aid such as those that euthanized animals and the biofuels industry.

The Senator says the biofuels language was important because it assures the Secretary of Ag that he has authority to provide aid to the industry.

Grassley says while Secretary Perdue did not grant relief to biofuels producers, he’s confident Tom Vilsack will.
