Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, chair of the Senate Finance Committee, is asking for Senator Chuck Schumer’s help in getting the biodiesel tax credit approved. He says it fits into the ‘’Green New Deal’’ which Democrats have been advocating.

He says while it’s a multi-year incentive, it would eventually be phased out.

Grassley says if they can’t get the multi-year extension they want either a one-year or two-year deal.

Grassley says Senator Schumer has influence over several Democrat lawmakers which could help get the biodiesel tax credit passed.
