Grassley Addresses USDA Spending Issues

U-S Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa was asked during a recent news conference with agriculture media about inappropriate spending by the US Department of Agriculture.  Some senators, including Arkansas Senator John Boozman, the ranking member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and U-S House members have requested an accounting of the spending of allocated dollars from the COVID-19 Act, as well as the Climate Smart pilot program.  Grassley says there is some thought that Congress may have allocated more money for the programs than what is needed.  Grassley says since Senator Boozman is the ranking member of the Senae Agriculture Committee it would be his responsibility to oversee the approved spending for the US Department of Agriculture.
