Sanford Health has teamed up with SDSU to provide five grants to research studies related to human nutrition, weight management and other dietary-related areas. The total contribution comes to 430 thousand dollars for five years of research.  Dr. Lacey McCormack is an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Nutritional Sciences and is one of the recipients of the funding for research in weight management…

 

Dr. Jessica Meendering is an associate professor in the same department, and is also working on this research that identifies the factors preventing successful weight loss.  She says this research will be used to improve Profile users’ ability to combat weight loss inhibitors…

 

Other grant recipients at SDSU are completing research in diet formulas for cancer patients, prenatal diets and their effects on offspring health, and other areas related to weight management and health.
