The deadline to apply for grants from the State of South Dakota for COVID related costs has been pushed to this Friday. The money was part of the one point two billion dollars the state got from the federal government.

Hunhoff says some providers had extra costs outside of the time frame covered by the grant program…

Hunhoff says hospitals are also working through the application process…

Under the federal rules, the money must be spent by the end of the year.
