More than 500-thousand dollars in state grant money is being awarded to seven organizations working to increase access to quality child care in Minnesota.  Brandon Toner with the state Department of Employment and Economic Development says projects selected must be ready to hit the ground running

 

Toner says while manufacturers statewide want to hire as many workers as possible, the need for child care is often keeping parents at home and out of the work force.
