The new President and CEO of the U.S. Grains Council is very interested in expanding American exports of ethanol. Ryan LeGrand says they’re trying to build on past successes with exports of that product.

He’s also optimistic about opportunities for the U.S. with bilateral free trade agreements and wants to see more progress on that.

LeGrand says Mexico remains a key customer for the U.S for many ag products including corn, sorghum, barley and just recently ethanol.

LeGrand says there are also possibilities for ethanol trade into both Japan and China.
