Three more Great Plains Athletic Conference women’s teams won first round games at the national NAIA basketball tourney in Sioux City Thursday.

All five GPAC teams at the event remain alive with second round games on tap Friday.

Among the Thursday results, Northwestern started the day by winning game one 81-74 over Friends of Kansas.

Hastings moved on with a 57-49 win over Lawrence Tech of Michigan.

Morningside capped the day with a 97-69 decision over Rio Grande of Ohio.
