Both Great Plains Athletic Conference teams in action Wednesday at the NAIA national women’s basketball tournament in Sioux City were victorious.

Concordia (Neb.) took to the court against No. 8 Bryan (Tenn.). The Bulldogs, fresh off both the Great Plains Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships, are back as a top-seed and they put away the Lions, 101-66.

With the win, the Bulldogs are back in the second-round and will take on No. 5 Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) who defeated No. 4 IU Northwest in the game prior. Concordia now holds a 32-2 overall record.

The No. 2 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) Tigers earned their 10th national championship win after blitzing No. 7 Milligan (Tenn.)  66-54 victory to advance to the second round and improve their overall record to 27-6 on the year.

With the win, Dakota Wesleyan will advance to their second-straight second-round and will take on  No. 3 Eastern Oregon (29-4).
