Winona State will open the tournament versus the fifth seed of Fort Hays State of the MIAA.  Sioux Falls will take on second seeded and regional host Pittsburg State of the MIAA while Northern State will take on the top seed and Emporia State (MIAA) in the first round. Sixth seeded Arkansas Tech (GAC) will take on Missouri Western State in the other first round matchup.
The NCAA Women’s Central Region Tournament will take place on March 11-12, 14 at John Lance Arena, which is housed in the Garfield Weede Athletic Building in Pittsburg, Kansas. Game times will be announced later in the week.

Sioux Falls, Emporia State and Arkansas Tech each earned automatic bids to the NCAA Central Region Tournaments with their conference tournament championships.  The NSIC, the Great American Conference (GAC) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) make up the NCAA Central Region again this year.

The NCAA Elite 8 will take place on March 22-23 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. with the National Championship being played on April 4 at Banker Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
