The Great Plains Athletic Conference has named its basketball Players of the Week.

Women – Kynedi Cheeseman, Dakota Wesleyan University (Guard)

Cheeseman, a senior from Alexandria, South Dakota, averaged 30.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and two assists per game. She finished a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line on the week, while going 8-of-13 from 3-point range. Cheeseman currently leads the conference and country with 25.7 points per game.

Men – Garrett Franken, Dordt University (Forward)

Franken, a junior from Atlantic, Iowa, had a game-high 24 points, hitting 10 field goals, for the 25th-ranked Defenders in a win over Northwestern. He also added nine rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot. In a win over Briar Cliff he had 18 points and 6 rebounds.
