Men’s Offense – Wesley Lockwood, Northwestern College (Midfielder)

Wesley Lockwood of Northwestern is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Lockwood, a junior, from Dunfermline, Scotland, scored four goals against Judson (Ill.), including a hat trick in the first 11 minutes of the match. He also picked up an assist in Northwestern’s 3-0 win over Graceland (Iowa) in the Pizza Ranch Classic hosted by Northwestern. The Red Raiders went 2-0 on the weekend and moved to 2-1 overall.

Men’s Defense – Paul Quildies, Morningside College (Defender)

Morningside’s Paul Quildies is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Quildies, a freshman, from Essen, Germany, helped Morningside allow only one goal in its first three games of the season thanks to his standout defensive play from his defender position. The Mustangs are a perfect 3-0 for the first time in school history. Morningside allowed only 17 shots in its three victories

Women’s Offense – Esther Soenksen, Concordia University (Midfielder)

Esther Soenksen of Concordia is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Dakota Wesleyan’s Cici Schneider is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Schneider, a sophomore, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, led the Tigers to their first win of the season with 12 saves in a 1-0 overtime win. The Tigers were outshot 28-7 in the game, but Schneider stood tall and kept Clarke off the board until DWU finally broke through with a goal in overtime.
