The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Fall Golf Qualifier, presented by Cypress Risk Management, is complete from Vermillion, South Dakota.

Teams played the 18 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at The Bluffs Golf Course. The final 36 holes will be played in the spring in Columbus, Nebraska, at Quail Run Golf Course.

After 36 holes of action the Briar Cliff Chargers sit atop the team leader board with a total of 640 (217-323). Morningside, who had the low team score on day two, sits four strokes back with a 646 (330-316) while Northwestern is in third with total of 692 (359-333). Mount Marty and Dakota Wesleyan round out the top five teams with scores of 693 (355-338) and 716 (351-365) respectively.

Individually the clubhouse leader after 36 holes is Arianna Presilla of Briar Cliff who fired a ten over 154 (77-77). Samantha Knight (80-77) and Maria Zorilla (78-79) both of Morningside are in a tie for second with a 157. Abby Brinkman and Nicole Hemelberg of Briar Cliff are tied for fourth at 162.

Briar Cliff is the defending GPAC Women’s Golf Champion. The Charger women posted a four round, 72 hole total of 1338 to claim the 2016-17 GPAC Women’s Golf Championship. Morningside was second in the team race with a 1354, while Mount Marty placed third with a 72 hole total of 1381 last season.
