GPAC Names Volleyball Best

The Great Plains Athletic Conference named its volleyball Players of the Week Tuesday.

Attacker – Anna Wedel, Northwestern College (Outside)

Wedel, a junior, from Orange City, Iowa, helped the seventh-ranked Red Raiders to a 4-0 record last week. Wedel put down double figure kills in all four matches, averaging a team-best 4.4 kills per set.

Setter- Tara Callahan, Concordia University

Calahan, a junior from Brady, Nebraska, accumulated 122 assists (12.2 per set) over three Concordia victories at the Bulldog Bash in Seward.

Defender – Kayla Harris, Morningside College (Libero)

Harris, a sophomore from Dakota City, Nebraska, led the Mustangs in digs through the GoSarpy.com Labor Day Classic, posting impressive numbers in a weekend that included ranked opponents 13th-ranked Rocky Mountain and 23rd-ranked Westmont.
