The Great Plains Athletic Conference has named its weekly football Players of the Week.

Offense – Levi Schoonhoven, Running Back (Dordt University)
Schoonhoven, a senior from Hospers, Iowa, established a new single-game rushing record for Dordt with 298 yards on 35 carries. He also surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards in the win over Jamestown and is now third all-time at Dordt in career rushing yards.

Defense – Derek Tachovsky, Linebacker (Concordia University)
Tachovsky, a senior, from Wilber, Nebraska, filled the stat sheet in Concordia’s 44-0 win at Hastings. Tachovsky collected seven tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup.

Special Teams – Braxton Williams, Kicker (Northwestern College)
Williams, a junior, from Fort Madison, Iowa, helped lead 10th-ranked Northwestern to a 52-7 win over Dakota Wesleyan last weekend. Williams accounted for 10 points against DWU, converting a 31-yard field goal and all seven extra point attempts.
