The Great Plains Athletic Conference has named its basketball Players of the Week.

Women – Madison Braun, Morningside College (Guard)

Madison Braun of Morningside is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball player-of-the-week. Braun, a senior from Bellevue, Nebraska, led the Mustangs in scoring for the 12th time in a 14-game stretch with a game-high 35 points to go along with a game-high six steals in the Mustangs’ win at Dordt. The 35 points was her fourth 30-point game of the season. Braun is the NAIA Division II national leader with 115 3-point field goals and also ranks in the NAIA Top 10 with 96 steals and a scoring average of 20.5 points per game.

Men – Tyler Hedlund, Hastings College (Guard)

Hastings guard Tyler Hedlund is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball player-of-the-week. Hedlund, a senior from Albion, Nebraska, had a career high 28 points going a perfect 11-for-11 from the floor including 2-for-2 from behind the arc. Hedlund finished the week averaging 20.5 ppg on the week, while going15-for-17 from the floor, 2-for-3 from behind the arc and 9-for-11 from the charity stripe as he helped the Broncos win 20 games for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
