Two of four Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s basketball teams at the national NAIA tourney in Sioux Falls moved into the second round with wins Wednesday.
Thanks to a 43-point outing by Ty Hoglund (Dell Rapids, S.D.) Dakota Wesleyan University downed Warner University (Fla.), 79-65 at the Sanford Pentagon.
DWU takes on overall No. 1 seed, Indiana Wesleyan University at noon on Friday at the Sanford Pentagon.
Terrell Alfred career-high 30 points helped lead the University of Jamestown to a 106-85 win over Southeastern (Fla.).
Jamestown (29-5) advances to face No. 7 Spring Arbor (Mich.) (26-7) Friday morning at 8:30.
