The Great Plains Athletic Conference is down to two teams in both the men’s and women’s postseason tournament after Saturday’s results.

Morningside and Northwestern each picked up wins to punch their ticket to the men’s title game.

Top seeded Morningside cruised to an 89-59 win over fourth seeded Dakota Wesleyan. The Mustangs jumped out to a 17-6 lead and never looked back, leading by 20 points at intermission. On the other side of the bracket third seeded Northwestern picked up a 77-63 win over seventh seeded Doane. This is the second consecutive appearance in the title game for the Red Raiders.

GPAC Men’s Basketball Championship Tuesday, February 27
#3 Northwestern (25-5, 13-5) at #1 Morningside (25-6, 14-4), 7pm – Sioux City, Iowa

Top seeded Concordia eclipsed the century mark in a 106-86 women’s win over fifth seeded Morningside. .

Dakota Wesleyan, the three seed, handled the second seeded Red Raiders of Northwestern 73-58 to advance to the title game for the second consecutive year.
