Morningside College will be the number one seed when the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Postseason Basketball Tournament begins on Wednesday, February 25.

Morningside and Dakota Wesleyan shared the 2015 league title with 17-3 records and Morningside won a coin flip for the number one seed according to the GPAC tiebreaker procedures.  As the number one seed Morningside secures an automatic berth to the NAIA Men’s Division II National Tournament in Point Lookout, Missouri, which runs March 11-17 at Keeter Gymnasium/College of the Ozarks.  Dakota Wesleyan will be the two seed, Midland three, and Briar Cliff the fourth seed.  The five seed is Nebraska Wesleyan, Dordt is the sixth seed, Concordia is seeded seventh, with Hastings will be the eighth seed.

The semifinals are on Saturday, February 28, at the highest two remaining seeds.  GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, March 3.  The GPAC Postseason Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season top seed (Morningside) wins the postseason).
