Anjana Cordes of Morningside is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Cordes, a freshman, from Bad Vilbel, Germany, fired a five-over par 77 to share individual medalist honors at a weather shortened GPAC Fall Golf Qualifier with Mount Marty’s Logan Wagner and lead Morningside to the team title by a 27-stroke margin. The win was the Mustangs’ fourth tournament championship in a row. Cordes finished the fall season as the Mustangs’ scoring leader with an average of 80.0 strokes per 18 holes. Men – Collin Tedesco, Hastings College

Collin Tedesco of Hastings is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Tedesco, a senior from Castle Rock, Colorado, shot a school record 4-under 67 which bettered the field by two strokes at the weather shortened GPAC Fall Golf Qualifier. He backed that performance up with a fourth place finish at the All Nebraska Intercollegiate meet in Norfolk, Nebraska with a two day total of 4-over 148.

In cross country:

Women – Marissa DeWispelare, Doane University

Doane’s Marissa DeWispelare is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week.
