Tuesday, The 2014 South Dakota legislative session opened with Governor Dennis Daugaard’s State of the State Address. The Governor pointed out success last year in the state for South Dakota’s number one industry, agriculture.
Daugaard also talked about how the state’s dairy industry continues to grow and how state agencies are working to help foster that growth.
The Governor also pointed to last October’s blizzard that brought the death of tens of thousands of livestock. He says South Dakotans never asked for a hand out but pulled together to help each other.
Daugaard says South Dakotans can be proud because they’ve never forgotten the values of caring about each other, pulling together and helping each other through tough times.
