Governor Ricketts Sings Law to Overhaul State Banking Regulations

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has signed into law an overhaul of state banking regulations.

Ricketts, during a signing ceremony, says the comprehensive legislation updates state regulation of the banking industry. . .

Senator Matt Williams of Gothenburg, who is a banker, says this is the first overhaul of banking laws since 1963. . .

The measure is part of Ricketts efforts to reform state occupational licensing regulations.
