Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts denies he pushed for restrictions to Title X (10) funding to keep the money from going to Planned Parenthood.

Ricketts insisted on language which keeps the federal funding from going to clinics which perform abortions.

Ricketts says a state audit disclosed federal funding in the past had paid for abortions.

Opponents of the governor’s restrictive language on federal family planning money claimed the governor got too involved in crafting the budget.
