Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts launched a review of state regulations aimed at cutting unnecessary red tape.  He says the amount is staggering.

Ricketts signed an executive order that requires every state agency to suspend all rulemaking and every agency to conduct a review of existing and pending regulations. Ricketts says government is bogged down with red tape for a number of reasons.

Ricketts says that will make government more effective and customer focused.  All reports are due by November and action will be taken after that.
