Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts disputes state Senator Bob Krist’s charge that the governor has been the hold-up in arranging another debate.
A scheduled debate at Wayne State college was cancelled when talks on rules broke down.
Ricketts also dismisses as a political ploy a letter Krist sent the governor requesting a debate in Omaha.
Krist insists his campaign only went on social media after the governor declined to reply to the letter
Krist and Ricketts met in debate only once, in August at the State Fair in Grand Island.
The two did appear jointly at a forum in Omaha to answer prepared questions with no interaction.
