Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts declines to speculate how budget cuts will impact the work of state government.
Ricketts has cut an additional 56-point-5 Million dollars from the budget approved by the legislature. Ricketts says it’s difficult to forecast how budget cuts will affect the state.

Appropriations Committee chair, Senator John Stinner of Gering, says his committee will review the governor’s action and decide whether to attempt an override.

The legislature could override the governor and restore the money.
