Nebraska state officials are traveling to Canada in August on a trade mission. Governor Pete Ricketts will be leading the Nebraska delegation to the state’s top trade partner.
Nebraska exports $1.6 billion of goods and serves annually to Canada. State Ag Director Greg Ibach says of that total, $468 million is agricultural products, which makes Canada the fourth largest export market for Nebraska.
State Economic Development Director Courtney Dentlinger says Canada offers unique opportunities for Nebraska businesses.
Officials plan to visit Toronto and Ottawa August 7-11.
