Calling it a tragically tough spring South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem said she spent the better part of Tuesday morning on the phone with the Corps of Engineers and National Weather Service trying to predict how much more rain can be expected in coming days and what the impact will be on farming……….

Noem said this is a difficult time for farmers and that the best they can do as political leaders right now is to continue to fight for better trade agreements to get completed at the Federal level…

The Governor said it was a tedious job compiling all of the disaster information. She’s hopeful the state will see some results from FEMA in the next few weeks…..

Noem is still supportive of the President stating that he’s fighting to get better trade agreements. However, she says, more progress was expected by now. The Governor was happy to see progress with the Mexican Canadian agreement, but that the China markets have to be reopened again….
