Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has asked Republican leaders to meet with him as he tries to hammer out a different deal on five issues that prompted him to veto funding for state legislature’s operating budget. Dayton said the just-enacted tax-cut bill threatens Minnesota’s future fiscal stability
Senate Republican Majority Leader Paul Gazelka says although he’s always willing to listen to the governor’s point of view, he’s not interested in re-opening issues already signed into law. Republicans are preparing to sue Dayton over his cutting of funding for the legislature.
