H-M-Os are asking Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton to delay Monday’s public release of final health insurance premium numbers for the individual market, which Dayton calls “extremely irresponsible” because Minnesotans “deserve the security of knowing that more affordable health insurance rates will be available.”  But insurers say federal funding is not finalized and they don’t want to confuse subscribers, particularly when renewal letters are sent out

…Jim Schowalter, head of the Minnesota Council of Health Plans.  The Dayton administration plans to release premium numbers as scheduled Monday. But could health plans refuse to send out renewal letters until federal funding is certain?  Schowalter says, “I think that’s what we’ll have to look at.”
