Governor Dayton and Republicans Struggle to Find Common Ground

With less than two weeks in the Minnesota legislative session, Governor Mark Dayton and Republicans are struggling to find middle ground on budget negotiations. If the two sides can’t agree by May 22nd a special session will be necessary. Carleton College political expert Steven Schier says.

That’s the deadline to have a budget agreement in place to avoid a shutdown.
