Community prosperity is one of the key areas of focus in Minnesota Governor Tim Walz newly-released $50 billion spending plan. Walz says that includes improving the lives of rural Minnesotans and farmers, who Walz says are experiencing high levels of stress.

Walz also aims to spend $70 million to get high-speed broadband access statewide by 2021.
