Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts says he is pleased with the just-completed trade mission to Asia.
The delegation visited several cities in China as well as Hong Kong and Macau and met with hundreds of business leaders.
Ricketts wants a U-S trade agreement with the region to boost business in Nebraska.
Ricketts says if Congress ratifies the TPP trade agreement, the tariffs on beef to Japan would drop from 38-and-a-half percent to nine-percent. President Obama has said he will drop consideration of TPP following last week’s election results.
