Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was questioned about the amount of money the state is saving by having private firms run the Medicaid program. Democrat State Senator Pam Jochum (yolk-um) says she asked the state auditor to review the Medicaid program after she got an answer on cost savings from D-H-S that wasn’t fully explained.  *

Reynolds says the state has taken the right steps with Medicaid.

Reynolds defended Medicaid Director Michael Randle’s handling of information on the program.

Reynolds made her comments at her weekly news conference.
